Failing Forward
When a couple of our players knew they'd be out for weeks, the rest of us played a prequel set 200 years before the Dreadlord fell, to learn more of our world's history and keep the game going. I played Jim Quick. The dice mostly rolled ones and twenties, and it was absurd how wild the story got because the dice said so. We stumbled into every clue by accident, and that became our motto: fail forward.
