Widening the Grey is all well and good as a philosophy, but I was still starving. Starving at a full table: I wasn't lacking care at home. I was lacking the kind of nourishment I actually needed, and my body and brain kept score. This album is one long dinner where I finally hand back the menu, and the answer isn't burning down the bakery. It's the sandwich: the bread that holds my life together, and the red meat I need too.
