Closer Look
Elandriel's errand was simple: fetch a red gem. He got it, mostly because my centaur, Jaro, blew up the shop, and the shopkeeper by 'accident,' to keep the gem from being used to track down Maeven. Except it wasn't the real gem, and when Elandriel finally checked it for magic later, it blew up again.
Something streams down the waterfall
Listen close it's Sharakhal
Giving you the fresh demand
Put the red gem in his hand
Elandriel take a closer look
Some things are not in the book
For your master not much time
A spell to seek his kin to find
Hurry now to mage you look
The shopkeep there the gem has took
Keeps it on a shelf and stool
In the open such a fool
Elandriel take a closer look
Some things are not in the book
For your master not much time
A spell to seek his kin to find
What do you mean you need more gold
My master already paid you
What fine more but I don't have it now
We're good for it
What do you mean cash up front
Elandriel take a closer look
Some things are not in the book
For your master not much time
A spell to seek his kin to find
Hurry now to mage you look
The shopkeep there the gem has took
Keeps it on a shelf and stool
In the open such a fool
From outside a hoofbeat sound
Next you know you're on the ground
Looking down an elven face
Good an ally in this place
The building wrecked the shopkeep bleeds
Stunned and wounded barely breathes
Ignore the centaur asking how
Grab the gem and out you bow
Hey what happened here
Well be careful
Take a good look at that thing
When you get home
Elandriel take a closer look
Some things are not in the book
For your master not much time
A spell to seek his kin to find
Back home safe take out the gem
The centaur's words come back again
Detect Magic a simple spell
Surely any tricks will tell
Elandriel it seems you've failed
Your chance for glory now has sailed
And your master not much time
To decide which punishment inclined
Back home safe take out the gem
The centaur's words come back again
Detect Magic a simple spell
Surely any tricks will tell
And your master not much time
To decide which punishment inclined
