Side Quest (Remastered)

The story from the other side: a village remembering the strangers who showed up, healed their sick, stood up to their bullies, wouldn't take a coin for it, and left on the next train. I wanted to see what our party looked like to the people we helped.

We may not be the good guys
But we're the ones who came
We won't feed you any lies
No need to know our names

Those strangers came from nowhere
They hit us like a storm
All our problems, seemed to care
Then gone before the morn

They healed our sick and injured
They fought the bullies back
Persuaded all the whingers
Their answer this when asked

We may not be the good guys
But we're the ones who came
We won't feed you any lies
No need to know our names

They wouldn't take our payment
Declined to take reward
Out on the rails off they went
Left us to thank the lord

I have the strangest feeling
That we were just a pause
The problems we were dealing
A side trip for those gods

I can't say where they came from
I don't know where they went
Whatever beat drives their drum
I still hear their assent

We may not be the good guys
But we're the ones who came
We won't feed you any lies
No need to know our names

We may not be the good guys
But we're the ones who came
We won't feed you any lies
No need to know our names

Whenever fears and worries
Come haunt me in the night
Remember all their fury
At innocent folks' plight

Think they must be the good guys
Just look at what they've done
Why don't matter that they tried
Just lucky that they won

We may not be the good guys

But we're the ones who came
We won't feed you any lies
No need to know our names

We may not be the good guys

But we're the ones who came
We won't feed you any lies
No need to know our names
