The Great Salad Heist
My son's idea: a crazy goat that steals a salad. So we made it.
The sun was high in the garden square
A perfect salad, rich and rare!
The reddest tomatoes, a ruby gleam
The crispest lettuce, a leafy dream!
With peppers shining, bright and slick
A prize so grand, a prize to pick!
The stage was set, a peaceful scene
For crunchy, fresh, and glorious green!
Then through the fence, a flash of white!
A wicked beard, a crazy light!
Upon two hooves, a nimble thief
A goat of legend, beyond belief!
He didn't wait, he didn't knock
He cleared the gate and smashed the lock!
He grabbed the bowl, a mighty crash!
And vanished in a salad dash!
Sound the alarm! Ring the bell!
That crazy goat has cast his spell!
He's on the run, a veggie streak!
A stolen salad in his cheek!
He's climbing walls! He's jumping sheds!
On stolen, tasty garden beds!
A villain bold, a hero grand!
The wildest goat in all the land!
He found a nook to count his prize
And feast before the gardeners' eyes!
Oh, crunchy carrots, orange gold!
And purple cabbage, brave and bold!
The mighty cucumber, cool and green!
The finest loot you've ever seen!
The radishes, a spicy bite!
A treasure glowing in the light!
Sound the alarm! Ring the bell!
That crazy goat has cast his spell!
