Mr. Mazer
A lullaby for our old man baby. Mr. Mazer is the one who makes biscuits on the bed, puts the whole house to sleep, and worries about everybody, squirrels and hawks included. He was also the first of our cats to get his photo on this site.
Yellow eyes glow bright at night
Calico fur so soft so light
Old man baby in my arms
Mr. Mazer's got that charm
When the moon begins to rise
He’s our little bedtime guide
Making biscuits on the bed
Tucking us in sweetly led
Me-ow Mazer dear
With you there's nothing to fear
Ham and beef you crave today
With you love
Nothing's dull and gray
In the morning sun does shine
He’s our sunshine bright divine
Purring love fills up our room
Old man baby
Love in bloom
Every night he’s by our side
In his love we do confide
From dusk till dawn
He’s our light
Calico makes everything right
Whiskers twitch and tail so sleek
Life with you is truly sweet
Forever we'll cherish you
Old man baby
Always true
Me-ow Mazer dear
With you there's nothing to fear
Ham and beef you crave today
With you love
Nothing's dull and gray
Hey
In bed
Every morning stolen grace
In the morning sun does shine
He’s our sunshine bright divine
Purring love fills up our room
Old man baby
Love in bloom
