Cedar Cat
Cedar looks like she was assembled from spare parts: a rabbit's nose, a meerkat's stance, a bird's stare, and fur that's almost right. She's strange and a little spooky, and she's ours anyway. She's also the one that hawk stared down through the window, and she's never quite been the same since.
There's a shadow in the night
Grey fur soft but not quite right
Made of parts from here and there
Otter fur and bird with stare
Rabbit nose and meerkat stand
Whispers come from haunted land
Cedar Cat we love you still
Strange and eerie but a thrill
Cedar Cat, Cedar Cat
You're a mystery and that's a fact
Cedar Cat, Cedar Cat
We won't ever turn you back
Peeping voice from twilight trees
Moves in ways to make you freeze
Blend of creatures pure and wild
You're our softly haunted child
In the moonlight shadows grow
Silent footsteps dark and slow
Though you're made from many parts
Cedar Cat you’ve stolen hearts
Cedar Cat, Cedar Cat
You're a mystery and that's a fact
Cedar Cat, Cedar Cat
We won't ever turn you back
