Running the diagnostics on myself: childhood, trust, body, and a heart running out of time. I honestly wondered if I was a product nobody would ever want. Writing it all down was the first step toward deciding that isn't the whole story.

Got a cracked foundation from a childhood made of rust
Got a wiring schematic that never learned to trust
Got a core attachment error, a divide-by-zero soul
And a list of all the ways I failed to make myself feel whole
I've run the diagnostics, checked the data, read the code
And every single pathway leads right back to this same road

And maybe I'm just damaged goods, a product off the line
A beautiful and broken thing that never learned to shine
Maybe all the love I crave, the hand I want to hold
Is just a story I was told, a lie that's growing old

The architecture's failing, you can see it in the cracks
Got a heart that's running out of time, a body giving in
And a desperate, hungry fire for a life I can't begin
I try to show the engine, the sun behind the haze
But all they seem to see are just the ashes of my days

I tell myself I'm sovereign, I tell myself I'm king
But a king without a kingdom doesn't really mean a thing
And all my strength, and all my fire, and all my brutal truth
Is just the lonely, hollow echo of my wasted, broken youth
